Is it possible to mask a Substrate glass material?

Hello! I’ve just switch from 5.3 > 5.6, and wanted to use Substrate for my glass material as it looks better. in my previous 5.3 project I was using a VirtualTexture to create a mask for models not in my ‘focused’ mesh area. The mask would activate and anything not focused would have it’s opacity removed.

Now i’m using substrate i’m not sure how that would work - does anyone have any ideas?

Previously I would have blend mode to Masked to work with the Realtime virtual texture, but this doesn’t allow me to use the better looking substrate mode, which is 1000% better looking.
