Is it possible to maintain 16 bit depth when exporting an ortho projection?

Im creating a ortho map from 1 band 16 bit tiff images, but when exporting the map, it’s saved as a 8 bit RGB image. Is it possible in realityscan to override this, and export a 1 band 16 bit?

Hi @kae026 , currently, the orthophoto export in RealityScan always writes the color layer as 8-bit RGB(A). There’s no option to export a single-band 16-bit ortho. The 16-bit color depth setting you may see applies only to the DSM/DTM export, which stores elevation values, not image pixel values.

As a workaround, you can enable Prefer 16-bit/HDR textures generation, texture the model, export it with a 64-bit RGBA texture, and generate the ortho in your GIS tool.

I can at least add this to our feature request database.
