Is it possible to apply DOF into HMD(vive)

I am looking for the solution that I can apply depth of field (or blur, out focus) when I wear the HMD.
It should not be the motion blur, Depth of field will be great.

I do not concern the hardware performance yet,
Is it possible to apply in ue4?

If I can, What is the best answer to use DOF? postprocess will be fine??

Not quite answering your question, but giving you some info that you should know.

Using DOF (or really any kind of blur) is not recommended in VR because it can cause simulation sickness.
