Is additive rendering of a umg text block possible?

Hello! This will be the first of many questions I’m assuming. I have a simple umg project and working within a widget blueprint. Within that I have a textblock and under font I have applied a simple ui font material. Inside that material, if I set the blend mode to additive it will not render in umg or in game, other blend modes excluding modulate appear to work however.

Any ideas? Anyone done any simple additive rendering of text?
