Is 3D Text the only actor without Lighting Channel access? (and how to get it)

In 5.3 and 5.4 there seems to be no lighting channel control for 3D Text actors. It’s interesting because all 2d and 3d shapes as well as SVG fills have working light channel control… just not the 2d or 3d text. If you add a dynamic mesh component to the 2d or 3d text, it gives the option for light channel control, and does give channel control of which shadows are cast, but it doesn’t seem to effect the actual text actor component.

Just curious if anyone knows a workaround to get lighting channel control, other than creating the text components in another DCC?

The only workaround I’ve found is adding a light to the Text3D Actor through the “add” button for components and looking up light in the search. Find desired light. Go from there. Also, you can control the channel from the light.
