Inverting a fresnel effect?

Hi everyone! I’m currently working on a material that utilizes the Fresnel node. What I want to achieve is a sphere with a bright centre that slowly fades as it approaches the mesh silhoutte.
Since the Fresnel node basically does the opposite of this, I thought I could simply plug one through a oneminus node, but my result isn’t what I expected:

As far as I can tell, there isn’t really a fade going on here at all - The entire mesh simply lights up. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this?

There is a fade, it’s just really hard to see. Try tinkering with the ExponentIn value and maybe use a power node to make the difference more noticeable.
