Hi everyone,
I’m trying to install Odyssey 2D on Kubuntu 25.04.
I downloaded the engine along with the Bridge software and Fab, placing the contents of the latter two in the main Unreal folder.
I created a project (which didn’t work until I modified DefaultEngine.ini).
I then activated Fab in the Plug-ins menu. Clicking on the Content Drawer in the bottom left of the editor, I opened the Fab window.
Odyssey shows up in this window but the only options are “View in Launcher” and “View in My Library”.
The first shows an error: “Could not read file com.epicgames.launcher://ue/library.” and the second just takes me back to the library.
Where do I go from here to install the Odyssey plug-in? Can the files be downloaded manually from somewhere, then installed locally? Is there another button or option in the Unreal Editor?
(Additionally, the editor tends to crash frequently and randomly, so if there’s a page that explains how to maximise OS compatibility, that would also be quite useful.)
Thank you.
