Thanks a ton, man! That solved my issue.
Iām having this issue since they transitioned to FAB. Itās kinda ridiculous that itās been months and thereās no fix for it.
I just found a fix for this issue. I had multiple VaultCaches on my machine and deleting the contents of all of them and/or searching in the Epic Launcher for files that had cached downloads and clicking the dropdown option for āRemove Local Contentā finally got the download to work and reflect in the Epic Launcher UI.
I was like Abixerl_Dev, none of the following fixes worked:
- Signing out and then back in to the launcher
- Uninstalling/Reinstalling Epic Online Services
- Running the Epic Games Store as an administrator
- Deleting the contents of the vault cache (One of mine was already empty, deleting the contents of all VaultCaches seems to have worked)
- Exiting Epic Launcher from the system tray and restarting it.
- Restarting my machine
I was using WinDirStat to find massive files/directories on my computer to try and free up space because I thought the download might be taking so long because it was trying to free up space I didnāt have when I found the second VaultCache.
I had two VaultCaches,
C:\ProgramData\Epic\EpicGamesLauncher\VaultCache
C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\VaultCache
TL;DR Only C:\ProgramData\Epic\EpicGamesLauncher\VaultCache
appeared in the Epic Launcher download options for cache location, but once I deleted the contents of the Program Files (x86) folder it started working.
None of the above solutions worked for me.
Iām new to Unreal, but itās quite disappointing.
Hello everyone, I ran into the same problem, it helped me to reset the download settings.
Looks like this issue has been reported to FAB over 2 months ago and has well over 2,000 replies, yet this has happened to me for the last two items I purchased through fab. I am staring at an Initialize for the product I bought over an hour ago. I miss the old marketplace.
