Inside Unreal: A Guided Tour of Gameplay Abilities

Ok, it is working today… I think I after visiting the asset sharing subforum I was granted “trust level 1” and now I can see the link.

https://forums.unrealengine.com/c/unreal-engine/announcements-and-releases/asset-sharing/73

For reference, when I posted before, I was seeing this:

excellent

hey, i finally managed to download the project files. thanks.

I believe all “Epic games tutorials” should be free to follow.

If the documentation is locked behind a paywall, and not free to read, how should a new user, learn to use unreal engine? I am talking about tutorials created by “epic games”. You are only dismissing new users, by creating a “knowledge barrier to entry”.

Why do i need “Trust level” to read tutorials?

Epic Games is a Filthy Capitalistic Monster Company, it finally revealed it’s true self, the mask has finally dropped.

Facts:

  1. VictorLerp is an “Epic Games” STAFF member. Thus his actions represents the company, in it’s entirely.
  2. Project files link is not available to users:

Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private.

Conclusion: Epic Games is a monster who uses it’s playerbase as a stepping stone. Nothing is free. You are been used fools. Where is the link to the project files? Nowhere. You could have uploaded it to github or anywhere.

So epic games tries to “gather the free indie users market” to destroy unity, thus create a monopoly, once unity goes bankrupt and is bought by epic games. Then once total power has been obtained, epic games would drop the ruse, and pretenses and go google full evil mode.

Hint: You are all been used by epic games. Nothing is free. Not a single unreal engine tutorial.

we need more guide about gameplay ability system

if someone have problem with “Oops” , you need click at least 5 other post to unlock “trust level 1” , then you can see it

Same here :frowning:

I can’t access the project files

Firstly, welcome to the community @samasdasda1, @DevouringAxe, @EndersGame0327, it’s great to have you here!

The forums operate with a ‘trust level’ system, upon signing up you’ll be a ‘new user’, once your trust level increases to the next ‘level’ you’ll have access to the sub-category of the forums that houses the project file link. Don’t worry though, it doesn’t take too many interactions on the forums to be increased automatically to the next trust level!

Happy developing!

Also attempting to access the project files. Will my account summary show when I’ve met the trust level requirement?

You’re at the appropriate trust level to be able to access that sub-category

@SkyeEden I have the same trust level as Tyler_NotAPony but still not able to see files. Could you help me, please?
Non of the links are working.

Yeah, all I’m getting is an error message when I click on the project files link.

Even as “basic user” i can’t access the files :frowning: very sad

There is something not quite right with how the trust levels are handling that sub-category. We’re currently looking into an alternative workflow for sharing project files. I’m hoping we’ll have an update for everyone soon!

This is certainly the truth because I have been a member since 2014, I have “basic user” and I am unable to see them and have had this issue for multiple pages for years basically. It is very painful to not be able to partake and see all content that is available to others. :frowning:

If someone have a alternative link to this repository I would appreciate it.

Hey there SkyeEden, I hope you have something for us to access the sample project  Looking for a much needed refresher to start a new project with a fresh perspective!

I’d like to know when this is available as well. I have the Basic level (been a user for 2 years), but I still can’t access the files.

EDIT: I’ve just gone through the discobot advanced tutorial and successfully completed it. I still can’t access the project files.

EDIT 2: I’ve now gone through the basic tutorial as well. Still can’t access the project files.
