Infinity Blade Weapons

Hi All

Just a quick question, the Infinity Blade Weapons, that I added to a project are all skeletal meshes, anyone know of a good video tutorial using 3DS Max to convert to a static mesh or is the a way to bulk convert them all to static meshes.

what exactly is your question? every skeletal mesh is rigged model (which can be exported to .fbx) and skeleton, to use weapons you have to rig them and use them as skeletal meshes because of using sockets.

I thought the questions were obvious, I guess not, I will work it for myself…

Export them from UE4, then re-import them but uncheck “Import as Skeletal Mesh”. You will then have them as Static meshes.

yep I figured that out finally, just had to do it one at a time, but I got there thx

Now I just need to figure out how to import some FBX files, first time I tried it gave an error of, root bones do not match imported root bones on FBX, but I think that is just a simple retargeting, I hope…
