Inconsistent sanction appeal process

Summary

After publishing my map and uploading it, I got an email saying its approved, and when checking in Fortnite it was live on the server, even though in UEFN I suddenly got a moderation warning, saying i “Failed Content Review”. On the pop up, there were no violations listed and my map was uploaded just fine so I thought it was just a bug. There were also no changes in my map that could’ve suddenly caused this. Following the link in the pop up to “My Sanctions and Appeals” it turns out there actually were some violations, too many to fit in the pop up apparently. I got about 90 sanctions regarding LuckyBlock static meshes with the Reasoning “Respect IP Ownership”.
I only have 30 Lucky Block static meshes in my map but I received 3 sanctions PER LuckyBlock, probably from messing around trying to get rid of the moderation warning before I noticed there were actually violations in the island. All the LuckyBlock models are the same, only differing in their color.
I appeal the first sanction with the reasoning “The LuckyBlock models were made from scratch in blender with the question mark using the font “Mochiy Pop One” which is a Google Font under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1” and the sanction got lifted within a day. “This is great” I think to myself but appealing to all of these sanctions one by one will take some time, so before that I switch out the LuckyBlock models so they use a star instead of a question mark to be even more safe from copyright. This made the moderation warning disappear and I was free to publish new versions of the map now.
Then I continue appealing the rest of the sanctions. Yesterday the second appeal was lifted which was a great sign to keep appealing the rest using the same reasoning. Today I woke up and another 6 sanctions were reviewed but this time these sanctions were upheld. There was no reasoning given, I did not receive an email and the sanction itself doesn’t provide a reason. There should not be a difference between these sanctions and the lifted sanctions as they reference basically the same model with a different color.

In the Fortnite rules the simple description for the rule

“Keep it original”. You DO NOT OWN the licence Google does, so its not original

Each time of use is a violation.

Fortnite Rules are more restrictive the Standard Unreal Engine 5 and you cannot simply copy assets from Blender or UE5.* to UEFN because they are disallowed until imported using the correct process

Import Content and Islands in Unreal Editor for Fortnite | Fortnite Documentation | Epic Developer Community

USE Epic Fonts , dont take them through Blender because,

Blender will make them non-compliant, therefore they will receive another sanction ,

and you will be banned for a month (30 days!.

Please domt attempt to use your opinion as this Epic Rules and opinions that count.

Simply other Forum users are NOT interested in your view just your final published compliant games may interest them

Hi, thank you for the quick reply.

I think you might’ve misunderstood slightly. “The LuckyBlock models were made from scratch in blender with the question mark using the font “Mochiy Pop One” which is a Google Font under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1” is what I wrote into the appeal, and my sanction got lifted after I submitted that explanation.

The problem is my other sanctions for similar LuckyBlocks did not get lifted using the same appeal text, which makes me wonder what the difference is. I didn’t get any reasoning or email describing what the issue is other than what’s written in the original sanction: “Respect IP Ownership”.

I can’t find anything online saying that you cannot use SIL Open Fonts in UEFN. From what I can find, the SIL Open Font License specifically allows commercial use, embedding and modification.

If there is a Fortnite/UEFN rule that says SIL Open Font licensed fonts cannot be used this way, or that using them to create geometry in Blender is not allowed, could you please link it? I’ve been trying to find something official about this but so far I haven’t been able to find anything that says it isn’t permitted.
