UE Editor was running great… Getting 120fps in pretty heavy scenes and the 3090 was pulling about 500 watts… Then freaking windows wanted and update… Now even the sample scenes will only run at 18fps and the 3090 is pulling about 100 watts…
I tried rolling back my nvidia driver… I downloaded the EVGA precision app for controlling the GPU power and memory clocking… Upped the power and overclocked a bit… FPS went up to about 25fps… and power used went up about 50watts…
Next I tried updating the nvidia driver back to the current one but using the gaming driver rather then the studio (creator) version… Then bam back to 120fps and 3090 was pulling the right amount of watts…
Then today I started up my computer and launched UE… Back down to 18fps… Ugh so aggravating…
Anyone having the same issues? Anyone know why this might be happening? Why did changing the driver back and forth fix it… Then with zero updates or changes it went back to low fps?
Thanks for any insights!!
