we have recently helped to develop a VR Demo set in Singapur for BMW and had to reach 90+ FPS of course. We had the most problems with our performance inside the vehicle when the mirror images were visible. Due to the draw calls of the assets in the world, the performance dropped significantly. We do have the same problem in our own driving simulations, where we (have to) use up to 6 mirrors for each mirror of the bus/coach.
We’ve already tried to improve the performance of the mirrors, but our users and customers are still complaining about the notable performance drop when using more than one mirror.
Is there a possible solution to further improve the performance of multiple mirror images?
