Summary
On console (xbox series x specifically) it is impossible to save replays using the in-game UI because the button that you hit to open the onscreen keyboard (a) is the same button that triggers playing the replay.
So you can’t rename it.

Steps to Reproduce
play a map (with replays saved) and go to career/replays when you’re done.
highlight the replay you want to save and hit Y for “rename and save”
When the Rename dialog appears, try to name your map. You’ll end up pressing A to confirm without being able to type.
When you hit A from the previous step, you’ll get the Play Unsaved Replay dialog.
You can hit A if you want, but at this point, it’s reproduced if you couldn’t rename/save.

able to type a name into the name field to save the replay
Observed Result
you cannot type a name into the field, and it prompts you to play an unsaved replay instead
