Images are white boxes sometimes

My textuers are white blocks until i go and re-save them. This happens sometimes when i dont open the editor for a week or so.

WHATS REALLY BAD is that if i package the game it retains the white blocks for images. What is this? Thanks!

I have this with many textures, and so do many other people. It’s incredibly annoying. You can also fix it by right clicking on the texture and → asset actions → reload.

I have no idea what’s causing this… :cry:

Out of interest, what’s your GPU config?

Unreal editor itself is pretty much default. I adjusted some nav mesh project settings.

Very similar to me, I have a 3060 standard, but also get this problem.

I’ve seen quite a few people raising this issue.

I does seem to happen after playing for a while, then there’s a really fat glitch, and then at least one of the materials in the scene will look black and shiny. Getting to the root of it always reveals a black texture where it should not be.

I ( and you and everyone else ) really need this to work before packaging! :thinking:
