I’ve turned off motion blur in my post process volume and the scene capture. I suspect its TSR because it doesn’t seem to happen with FXAA on and I included a clip of just the render texture which doesn’t exhibit the blurring. I’ve tried increasing the AA quality in the engine scalability settings to cinematic with not much if any improvement.
Just did some quick testing. We use Temporal AA and our SceneCapture cameras do not display any smearing effect. Although they are not viewing any foliage.
Does that foliage material rely on TAA to look correct in some way? Ive seen that issue in some games where if you turn off TAA then some materials look pixelated.
Hmmm, I will do some work with my foliage material to see if I can fix it.
Now that you mention it, it seems to only happen on my foliage assets so that is probably what I need to fix. I will do some work on that and report back.
Thanks for the helpful response!
EDIT: To do a quick test I removed the material from my foliage and gave it the worldgridmaterial. Still really obvious bad blurring. Very odd, I’m going to continue messing around, if anyone else has suggestions it would be appreciated!
