Im missing something in the reflections/lighting... please help .

Im starting with 3d design in Unreal Engine 5, im triying to make a scene with a flashlight that hits a mirror on a surface and bounces back the light. But i cant make that happen… the light pass through the mirror, theres no bounce at all.

Im not finding solution or i dont really know where to search for it…

Do you have the material set with a reflection of 1 and roughness of 0?

Do you have ray tracing turned on? Mirrors don’t work well without ray tracing hardware.

My mirror material is very simple, but i think that it should be working ok
The objects are visible on the material reflection, but the lights doesn’t

turn off metallic and turn down diffuse color to black

Oh, I didn’t see this part first:

Lights are infinitely small, and thus won’t be visible unless they have some additional geometry.
Typically you’ll surround a point light with a small sphere that’s emissive and doesn’t case shadow, to give the illusion of a light source with size.
