If i disable static lighting should i still see "preview text" from a static light?

If i disable static lighting should i still see “preview text” from a static light? In the project settings i disabled static lighting… i even went to the world settings of my level and set “Force no precomputed lighting” to on…

Regardless if i set a light as static it will have preview text… even if i build once… Is that the proper workflow? Should i never use static lights now? Is there a performacne saver from static vs stationary if im not using lightmaps?

You have to set the lights to moveable.

the preview text isnt there for stationary. Whats the difference?

It doesn’t really matter if you’re going to be using moveable

Static, you can’t change anything, stationary, you can change the color.

I encountered a puzzling situation regarding static lighting in my project. Despite disabling static lighting in the project settings and enabling “Force no precomputed lighting” in the world settings of my level, I am still seeing “preview text” from a static light. This issue has left me confused about the proper workflow for handling static lights :smiling_face_with_tear:. I am unsure if I should continue using static lights or avoid them altogether. Since I’m not utilizing lightmaps, I wonder if there is a performance advantage between static and stationary lights in this context.

The moment you see that message, just make the light moveable.

In what scenarios would it be beneficial to keep “preview text” enabled even when static lighting is disabled?
