I have 3 cameras, named fortinspector 2-3 and one named sunguide for the
skybox
I also resaved all the terrain
and now I’m attempting to rebuild hlods.

I don’t have a yellow triangle icon in the viewport either.
Test the camera’s, one may be taking to long to do its thing causing the timeout disconnect.
How would I test them? I’m kind of new to uefn
I haven’t used camera’s yet so I’m not totally sure
One way I would do this
Make a snapshot and give it a description like Before Camera test.
Then remove 1 camera, test, remove next camera, test, etc
If it works after a test, resync the Before Camera test snapshot and then deal with that camera.
When you delete something it brings up a deletion warning screen if it has references (usually functions/events).
To avoid this first you have to undo all the functions / events on the camera device
and then double click your Level Icon in your map folder in the Content Browser.
After its reloaded you can then delete the camera without getting a delete warning
The problem is most likely in the function event setup and what its hooked up to, not the actual camera…unless they are prone to rare glitches.
I have 3 cameras, Fortinspector2-3 and SunGuide for the skybox I’m using.
I removed fortinspector 2-3, and I’m going to test now, I’m not sure if I’m doing this correctly though
I removed all the camera actors placed on the map
and still have the same issue
so, here’s a drive link again to the output log.
I think it might have something to do with when I tried building hlods, but force cancelled it before it completed, or maybe I changed something in world settings that messed up the
ability to test “game” sessions, because edit mode works fine.
in the logs near the end, where it destroys the valkyrie beacon, I guess that just means closing the session.
[5766.36][785]LogValkyrieBeacon: [38ba] (ValkyrieBeaconClient_4) MinigameStateChanged: EFortMinigameState::WaitingForCameras
[5766.84][836]LogValkyrieBeacon: [38ba] (ValkyrieBeaconClient_4) MinigameStateChanged: EFortMinigameState::Warmup
[5792.12][766]LogValkyrieRequestManagerEditor: Executing Step DestroyValkyrieBeacon
so it passes the waiting for cameras bit and goes to warmup, then after that ( is that 34 seconds) straight to destroy valkyrie without any other indications.
Yes the HLODs could be doing something, but the problems usually stop you from launching a session in the first place.
But in my opinion building them while a session is open could have issues if it doesn’t load the changes effectively.
Maybe build HLODs before launching a session. your HLOD building abilities can be helped by cranking up your windows paging file
If the HLODs do fail, we need to find out why
I didn’t have a session open when I built them, I basically force cancelled before completion
and then I started having issues with props, so I replaced said broken props
And then edit mode worked fine, and I guess that’s when loading into a game session
starting to not work.
I think I’m going to try to just remove all hlods for the time being, and see what happens
when I start up a session.
same issue again
at this point I’m free to just send the entire project file over in private to someone for them to check and see if anything is wrong via google drive.
This time there is a timeout warning between the warm up and valkyrie destruction
How did you remove the HLODs, Delete HLODs from the build menu doesn’t have the functionality needed sometimes and in the past has left old references to deleted assets, especially custom ones and certain problems.
The best way to remove the HLODs for a test is to make a totally new HLOD layer in the Content Browser, in your main project folder Right Click and choose World>HLOD Layer
Then go into your World Settings and change your Default HLOD Layer to the new one.
Launch a session and test, if it doesn’t work this way, then its more likely not a HLOD issue.
I’m going to create a team and invite you, I just need to see if I need to get the project registered under revision control which I’m pretty sure it isn’t
