I have this glitch where no matter what grid snap I select (or if I turn it off) the wall will only go into or above the ground unevenly.

If it’s a custom blueprint then that’s expected behavior. Try the other blueprint from the two and should resolve it.

How do I change from a custom blueprint? I am new to this still.

Create new blueprints, create one for both. Add your meshes to both. Then place both into the world and check their behavior. One will not grid snap. Use that prop blueprint type.

Disable editor cell snap in world settings.

This is the answer. There are two settings to snap/stop snapping. Right next to the icon where you set the position grid snap value, there should be another called “control how objects snap to surfaces”. Open that and uncheck the check box for “surface snapping”. That should do it along with turning off the first one.
