Hi, i still have a problem with a map i want to transfer to uefn and this problem : Found disallowed object type /Game/Building/TextureData/WallOuter/Frame_Black_Sam_01.Frame_Black_Sam_01
Some people say to me to restart my pc / uefn, but its still not working, and i dont know what to do now
I have wall and floor with a grey/orange texture, and also some landscape props (from creative 1.0) with no texture, and i still don’t know what to do, and i try to found a solution since the launch of UEFN on 23th march.
There are two ways to find and remove disallowed assets:
- from the viewport selecting one of the assets to find all instances
- Start from the placed actor on the outliner (top right panel with all the placed actors in the level) select it from the outliner if you know the name, or just click on the viewport if you can identify it already)
- with that asset selected, hit “CTRL+B” to go to the asset on the content browser (the one that element was instanced from)
- right click this asset on the content browser → asset actions → select actors using this asset
- on the outliner, right click on any of the selected instances → edit → delete
- from the content browser if you’ve identified that asset already and want to delete all instances of that asset
- right click this asset on the content browser → asset actions → select actors using this asset
- on the outliner, right click on any of the selected instances → edit → delete
One important thing to clarify:
Disallowed errors occur only if disallowed assets are INSTANCED in the level (meaning, only if you use them). That means: 1. if you’re getting an error, then there’s an asset instanced out there in the level. and 2. that you don’t need to remove the actual asset from the content browser, just in case it’s allowed in the future. But given it’s not allowed, it’s ok if you want to remove all traces of it.
