Hello All,
New to UE and I’m doing Bad Decisions Studio’s Unreal Engine 5 Beginner Tutorial.
I am unable to see the Path Tracer in the View Mode drop down list.
I am running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, 64.0 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA Quadro P4000 Graphics Card.
Any advise would be most welcome.
TIA,
Muggs

Is raytracing enabled? DX12?

Shaun,
Thank you. Again a complete noob to EU.
Yes, when I start a new project, I selected the “Raytracing” box.
I’m sorry but I don’t know what DX12 is, can you elaborate?
Thanks again,
Muggs

In your project prefs, go to the Rendering section and make sure that raytracing is enabled.

Unfortunately yes. I was hoping that that was it, but it still doesn’t show in the Lit dropdown.

My guess it you are not raytracing for whatever reason. Is your card RTX? Do you know if it can raytrace?
Other things to check is SM6 and DX12

Shaun,
Thank you so much for all of your help, but I think I’ve have wasted your time, as it appears that the NVIDIA-P4000 does NOT do raytracing.
I’ll look into a different card for this kind of work.
Thank you again for all of your help.
