Hey all,
I am trying to create reflection cubemaps to use on my VR project. I created the SceneCaptureCube, positioned it in the location I want, created a cube render target, everything working fine up to this moment.
As soon as I right click to create a static texture Unreal crashes. I couldn’t make it happen not even once. I’ve spend over an hour already restarting it and have no clue what’s going on or why it crashes.
I tried setting the scene cube capture as static, movable, stationary, tried different texture sizes for the render capture texture, it just doesn’t work.
Has anyone gone through this problem and could give me some help?
I am using 5.1
I ended up creating a new level and rebuilding it all and it finally worked.
Can’t explain why, but that map in particular wasn’t allowing me to create it. The template map worked fine so I created a new one and made a copy from everything, now it worked.
Funny thing is that I spent the whole morning on it and when I finally made all the maps and compiled as reflection cubemaps it didn’t change much from what I had before in terms of performance
