@GraemeBB The team is asking for your logs and a screenshot of your settings.

On our side, this issue could not be reproduced on PC, The HUD Message background color is visible at all times, regardless of many settings combinations or different ways to trigger the ā€œShowā€ function.

One item I neglected to mention is that I have a custom hud widget because I wanted to place text specifically but I also want to have a background that takes up the whole screen. Making both work at the same time is VERY difficult and tried the background setting but it didn’t do anything.

SO, if this isn’t a bug, then I’d like to make a feature request that you can set the background with this setting, or at least grey it out if it does nothing. I do think this is a bug though as right now there is no easy way to have a full screen blackout (that I’m aware of) or white out or any color as the full screen anchor point setting for an image module does not guarantee that item to be full screen. So, something in HUDs needs to change, either that background item is possible no matter what, or the anchor settings need to be fixed so that you can full screen an image or color.

I think i had this once i assumed it wasnt a bug but due to not using the hud device direct without a widget.

What i did (as i didnt think it was a bug) was create an image in the widget put it behind everything and set to a color and opacity to 0.4 and it tinted the screen.

Just incase you want a work around if it is a bug

ps make alot bigger that the canvas as diff screens change the size and some can make it cover half the screen for some reason
