I’m still on 4.9.2 with this project but yesterday I used the High Resolution ScreenShot Tool to take a bunch of images of various characters. Now, today, all viewport options are completely greenscreen unless I open the HRSST window and then I can see stuff.
If I select an object and tell it to use the custom depth buffer, the object does render.
It’s as if the screenshot tool is active when the window is closed.
I have no idea how to fix it except to try and dock the window for it somewhere off the edge of my screen.
To clarify you took screenshots with the High Resolution Screenshot tool, saved, and then closed the project. Today, all of your viewports are green unless you open the tool again.
1.) Would you please provide screenshots of a viewport that is green.
2.) Would you link me a copy of your DxDiag (System Specs) and make sure that your graphics card is up to date on it’s drivers.
3.) Does this happen in another project or does this only happen with this project?
After I have this information I should be able to narrow down what is causing this green screen.
Here’s what it looks like default. It doesn’t matter what I do with the view types, wireframe, buffer vis…etc.
It looks fine with the tool open…
…EDIT: I actually managed to fix it myself. While I was taking those shots, I was hitting G to go in and out of game mode to position objects. Turns out that it makes a difference if you hit G before you open the window, then close it after hitting G but not going back…yaddy yaddy, that weird combo mess.
Long story short, I kept hitting G with the tool window open and also with it closed and that got me back.
Thanks, happened to me too. But i actually had to take screenshot after trying out this “G” combo. If i did not taken screenshot changes would not apply after closing HRSST window.
