How2Get detail-lighting as color

I want to be able to get as a color, what’s shown in the detail-lighting panel, is this possible? The black/white gradient? Specifically I want to be able to get ‘that’ and set it as the color in my mesh , for snow:

This is my grass on snow / detail-lighting:

Between what I can do with just tinting grass and ‘snow’, the detail-lighting ‘snow’ seems much more realistic. But I don’t want detail-lighting as a color everywhere, just on foliage and whatnot, I think it makes a nice ‘dead-n-frosted’ effect. So if I could replicated that in the shader, I could assign it as color, but I cannot think how it’s calc’d?
