How would you go about creating a watergun that leaves water where it hits?

Hi, Im about to start creating a watergun however im trying to think of the best way to go about shooting the water and leaving residual water where it hits. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

You’re gonna need two things:

  1. Particle system to do the water ‘squirt’.

  2. Decal to leave as the watermark.

First is pretty easy, plenty of free or cheap assets have water particle systems in them, but second, maybe not so easy.

I just had a look on the market, nothing to do with water decal. You might be able to use blood decal ( plenty of that of course ) and make it transparent.
