Hello. I’m trying to use megalights, but I’m getting this message “MegaLights is enabled, but has no ray tracing data and won’t operate correctly. -Hardware ray tracing is not allowed. Check log for more info”. What does it mean and how to fix it? Does it even work for my gtx 1070?
The 1070 doesn’t support hardware raytracing. There is an console command that might work, r.D3D12.DXR.AllowEmulatedRayTracing=1
But you’ll probably need a newer GPU to use megalights, at least with acceptable performance.
So, megalights working only with rtx 20xx, 30xx, etc?
The question is, does it work on HRT cards and does it not work(work, but no benefits) on non HRT cards?
In that case, if I’ll buy something like rtx 5080 and use megalights with it and then I’ll package the project - will I get a good fps with gtx 1070? Or I should create 2 versions of game for cards with rtx and without rtx support?
