I am very new to Unreal Engine and I’ve started a new project. The background is completely dark but I want to have the normal skybox in the background instead. I’ve seen many tutorials telling me what to do, but none of it seems to work. Thank you.

By far the easiet thing to do is simply create a project from a TEMPLATE. When you launch UE4 it will come up to a window that has PROJECT and NEW PROJECT tabs. Click on the new project and select the third person template. That will include everything you need to get started. And, you can delete anything that doesn’t work for you.
