How to turn a metahuman (multiple skeletal meshes that can form a whole person) into a single skeletal mesh?

I have been trying to build my game with a metahuman as a main character, but I haven't gotten far because I metahuman that has multiple different parts doesn't seem to work with anything? I am inexperienced in skeletal meshes or animation, but what I do know is that the metahuman in City Sample appears to be a full... thing. Not a blueprint, but a skeletal mesh that can have animations applied to it and everything. And since it is an official Unreal Engine example, I know that this IS at least somewhat advisable. I've found resources for everything else I could possibly want to do, but I can't for the life of me find out how to make a blueprint
