How to turn a mesh with added decal into a new mesh.

Hi. I am a newbie sorry for this probably very simple question. I am trying to make a roadmesh that I can then drop into splines to construct a road. However I do not find a way to bake the roadpaint lines into the mesh. I have been searching but can’t seem to find the answer. when I select the actors (roadbox/texture/decals) and turn the actors into a mesh I get a mesh where the decals are not baked into.
