How to test multiplayer on LAN session

I know how to create and join sessions but how do you set up the editor so it actually works

no i dont know what is needed for LAN to work like

  • Pie or standalone?
  • Using duplicate copies of the game on the same computer?
  • using one game and having 2 clients?

i did the blueprint multiplayer series and the sessions weren’t found i tried it with LAN but the client wouldn’t join

is there a way to test the joining sessions without running two versions of same game
