How to simulate thick fluid injection and temporary wrinkle deformation on an eye lens surface (Unreal Engine 4.25)

I’m trying to create a realistic visual effect of a viscous fluid being injected into the eye — similar to what happens during an IOL (intraocular lens) surgery.

Here’s the behavior I want:

  • When the fluid is injected, it causes temporary wrinkles or folds on the eye’s corneal/lens surface.

  • These distortions should gradually smooth out over time as the fluid spreads.

  • The effect should be localized around the injection point, visible mainly through refraction and surface distortion.

I’m not trying to simulate full fluid dynamics — just a believable shader-based or Niagara-based surface deformation.
