How to set up "Medio IO Minimize TSR/TAA Artefacts" in Movie Render Queue?

Hi there. I saw this awesome new update for UE 5.4 called “Medio IO Minimize TSR/TAA Artefacts” which is supposed to minimize render artifacts using media plates and videos.

I’m playing around with this in a brand new Virtual Production map in the latest version of UE, 5.4.4.

Are there any settings I need to setup to do this? Or does it just work if I use TSR as the Anti Aliasing method in the movie render queue settings? I don’t seem to be able to get it working?

I’ve been playing around with the movie render queue, and I still get artifacts even when my sequence tick rate is set to the exact same FPS as the video and same with the movie render queue export settings.

I’m using a media plate actor with a video playing inside it.

Here’s a video example of me playing around with it, but I still get TSR artifacts. Most visible around 2 seconds in with the woman’s face being blurry.

I didn’t try myself, but the new flag “Has Pixel Animation” on materials might be it.
It is not directly related to media IO though, as the release note suggests, so there may be an additional settings elsewhere.

Thanks for your reply. OK. I’ll wait to see if anyone else has any ideas. Maybe it just automatically works by itself?
