Hi there. I’ve been trying to render movies of a sequence shot with a CineCameraActor that is set to 16:9 DSLR setting (filmback settings). However, when I play back the rendered movie it always displays in what appears to be the aspect ratio of the default view port (or some other aspect ratio). I have tried locking both the camera cuts and CineCameraActor tracks to the viewport but to no avail. I have also tried Constrain Aspect Ratio in the CameraComponent, but still nothing. Am I missing something in the Render Movie Settings?
I’m trying to render a sequence made in sequence editor which has filmback settings (i.e. aspect ratio, Focus distance, etc.) applied to it via CineCameraActor. However, when it renders it does not apply these settings.
Workflow:
inserting CineCameraActor in Level (via viewport) and framing shots
adjust filmback settings via Details panel
Creating new Level Sequence and +Add CineCameraActor
creating camera movements by keyframing Transform (location, rotation) in sequencer timeline
Add a CameraCuts track and +Camera desired CineCameraActor shot
Locking viewport to CameraCuts track (which displays sequence in desired Filmback settings in viewport)
Rendering movie a video in 16:9 (same aspect ratio selected in filmback)
That all seems ok. Are you able to package up what you have and send it to me? If it’s simpler, you could also just create a new project without your assets and send it to me.
And/or send me a screenshot of your level sequence and the details panel with the camera selected.
