When I have, say, a Static Mesh Actor in a folder in the outliner, and I right click it to replace with another selected Static Mesh, the replaced actor has now been evicted from its original folder and instead is in the map outliner’s root folder.
Is there a way to replace actors and make it stay in its original folder instead of landing in the root folder?
I’m guessing instead of actually reassigning the static mesh reference, it creates a new actor with the same location/rotation/settings in the level and deletes the old one?
At the moment I’ve had to select 29 individual folders of actors (2000 actors) and manually make layers out of them so I can re-select them once they’ve been replaced. It’s been a big hassle to do.
