how to make solid color materials look better

Just use unlit shading model.

Hi, In my game the textures consist of just solid colors. and sometimes the textures just look off, like too shiny or too glowy or too reflective. have any of you ever worked on solid color materials? if you know any way i can make the textures look better please let me know. i still want to keep the solid color texture style tho. thanks

ok this kinda works but i have a day and night cycle and i dont want my ground glowing.

Do you have reflection captures in the scene?

sorry im responding to this late but no i do not have any reflection captures.

You can lerp a noise texture with high roughness or least roughness with solid color let it rough, More like tiny shiny particles in sand or tile made with clay. If you can share your textures I can suggest more.

thx for soluction

my textures are the bare minimum its literally just a vertex color plugged into the base color. thats it

Reflections captures stop your ground glowing…
