How to make it night time in Unreal 4

Hi Guys,

I’ve just started using Unreal 4 at university and I’m looking for a tutorial on how to make it night. It seems there is a wealth of videos on how to create a day and night cycle but no tutorial (that I can find) on how to make it night permanently.

I’d really appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Benji

Take a look at this thread  When you dont want to use the defaul sky, you can also just use a blank map

https://forums.unrealengine/showthread.php?27735-Permanently-set-time-of-day&p=114065&viewfull=1#post114065

  1. rotate the sun
  2. build the light
  3. click onto the sky bp and then make those changes:

  1. set the directional light intensity to 0
  2. set the environment colour in the world settings to black

You could also use a day/night system others have uploaded and set the time change speed to 0

Edit: nevermind, ignore my suggestion and go with 's. It’s like I’m basically cloning the other thread you linked

I had the same problem. This short tutorial was useful. It shows you how to set the sky to just one time of day or night.
