How to make AutomationTest appear in Automation tab tree

I created my first AutomationTest (a complex one), but when I open the Automation tab, I can’t find it in the tree:

I first have to select All Tests → All Tests (even though, that’s already selected):

to make it visible:

So, my question is: what do I have to do (programmatically) to have my test listed from the very beginning?
