How to make a particle effect activate on a meshdata collision?

Hello!

I am practising with the particles effects. I made a Laser Beam for my animation, placed it on the head of the monster. So he shoot cool laser beams out of his eyes. However, i want to add a sparks effect to everything the beam touch and pierce, kinda like this: Plasma/Particle Beam - After Effects CS4 - YouTube It must be dynamic, so that the particle effect will follow th meshdata and “activate” to every mesh it touch.

It is possible to do something like this?
