I’m creating a lava, fire type world. My intention is to make a Niagara Falls-esque lavafall that flows into the center of the world. Problem is, I have no clue how to get that started. I’ve just been using simple geometry to make the rest of the lava so I don’t know how to make more unique shapes. What would be the best way to go about starting that?
i would look into tutorials on waterfalls as its a very similar topic and theres a million tutorials on waterfalls.
the basics are that you want to create a mesh for the shape of the flow and then create a texture for how its going to look. then use the texture to create a panning material which makes it look like its flowing. if you want to see an example check out the the infinity blade firelands demo on the marketplace, its free.
The infinity blades fire land assets are actually what I’m using for this world. I already have the textures and effects I need, I just have to learn how to do meshes to make the right shape. Thanks for the advice
