I am trying to make the character Walk in in Augmented Reality. I am doing it the same way we create a third person built in project but it does not work in Augmented Reality (Using ARCore) any way i can make it move with virtual joysticks with 3rd person perspective?
any luck finding a solution to this , been trying to figure it out for 2 days
I have been looking into bunch of things but haven’t figured it out yet. however, we can try using character class instead of pawn class. as character itself is a pawn but can move around. Let me know your understanding and we can help each other out I guess
Any help with this yet?
I actually thought of something a bit different, I though of a tap to move system (like MOBA or Strategy games) but still no luck for that working on AR, so any help would be greatly appreciate.
The template project places environment from Pawn. I tried to use character class but that Won’t work because we are placing placeable through pawn. we can place the character the same way. Now I am writing movement script there. I am typecasting the PlayerCharacter (the generic moveable character) to my main character and trying to connect it with my input joysticks. The same way we do in third person game. But when I do so it crashes. I take the in put, get world location and coordinates and move it to certain amount. It should work this way. now I might be missing something. You try this and you might find something that I might be missing.
