How to import parented objects with skeletal mesh

Im trying to import a mesh from maya to ue4 as a skeletal mesh. In maya I have objects contained to the bones as they are solid objects and I dont want them to deform, however when importing them into ue4 it only imports the objects that are skinned to the bones and not the ones constrained to it. How can I do this properly?

I am having the same issue. I export Alembic cache from maya into UE but the parented objects do not move. Only the skinned and nCloth sim are moving. Noting that the same Alembic file works properly in other software .
