Hi, im rendering 2 different cameras, one that has vr and another one on the monitor, but im unable to do this. I already managed to get the vr headset working (im using oculus release version), but when i couldnt find a way to get the display for the second camera, as the only display im getting on the monitor is the same as in the VR headset.
The screen that pops up when you play in VR mode is a mirror of what the headset is seeing. As far as I know there’s no easy way to accomplish what you are trying to do.
After the 4.17 we managed to somehow fix it with the new spectator mode. This mode allows us to display a texture on the monitor, so we have a scene capture 2D that creates a texture which we are using as the feed of the camera that is not using the HMD.
This fix works fine, however it is not a viable final fix as there are issues while using a scene capture 2d while having a VR camera aswell, as it causes the VR view to shake.
