I’m very new to Unreal and having trouble getting Chaos destruction and Niagara fluids to work together. I’m able to get normal Niagara effects to work with chaos but when I try to convert one of the fluid templates to work with Chaos, the destruction will trigger the particle emitter but not the fluid emitter that spawns from the particles. Below you can see what happens when I place a fluid system with the particle emitter visible and spawns both in world and from chaos:
Both the instant burst effect in world and the chaos effects are using the same niagara system, based on the Grid 3D Gas Simple Particle Source template. The instant burst spawn displays normally as expected, with both the particle and fluid emitter, but the chaos spawn only displays the particle emitter and somehow gets cut off from the fluid effect. Is there something in the fluid template that prevents this from working with chaos?
Most of the changes are in the particlesourceemitter. The 3D gas fluid emitter is largely unchanged other than increased gravity.
I realize of course that Niagara fluids is in beta, but what I’m going for eventually is to make something that looks like the video below, so I know it should be possible:
