I am currently making a solar system type map. My scene currently consists of just 1 Point light. And that causes really hard shadows. What is the easiest way to make surrounding lights that can give the parts of the mesh which have no light a bit of depth.
Hi envenger,
you could use directional lights with lower settings to fake some UI (Universal Illumination xD) not quite realistic, but should at least give some depth.
Also there are atmospheric scattering shaders for planetary rendering…though I sadly don’t have any specifics…would have google them myself.
Have fun
I’m not sure if i understood your problem, but maybe you are looking
for a Skylight?
SkyLight with an ambient cube map should do but there is just test so I don’t want to make a perfect… I will go witha weak directional light for now i guess
