I’m facing a problem with low indoor lighting in Unreal Engine 5, and I’m looking for solutions to improve the lighting quality in my scenes. The issue is causing a negative impact on the visual quality of my project. Here are the challenges I’m encountering:
1. Inadequate Lighting
The indoor scenes I’ve created appear too dark and lack the proper illumination needed to make them visually appealing. It seems like there’s a lack of light sources.
2. Lighting
I’m ussing Lumen
3. Lightmass Settings
I’m not entirely sure how to optimize the Lightmass settings
5. Material Properties
I’ve reviewed the material properties, but I’m not certain if I’ve configured them correctly for indoor environments. Details like specular and roughness settings are puzzling to me.
I’m in need of practical guidance and solutions to address these issues. Any assistance and step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.
Adjust the exposure in the post processing like Auran13 suggested.
Local contrast can help a lot as well.
Also can check the lumen scene, making sure the area is getting light and isn’t fully occluded. And you could try using skylight leaking if you want visibility at the cost of realism.
