Summary
I get a “requires 10GiB free memory but only 6.7GiB is available” message when attempting to Create Full Rig on an MH (testing Aera preset). PC has 11GB Free on GPU and 21GB Free in RAM but UE/MHC doesn’t seem to be grabbing it. How can this be addressed? (system has 24GB total on GPU / 64GB total in RAM)

Just thought I’d bump this up as it’s still an issue for me.
Any recommendations on how to “inform” MHC that the memory is indeed “there for the taking”?
Since the June 2025 MHC (UE5.6) release, I’ve yet to ever assemble a “full rig”/cinematic MH without generating this message and UE usually crashes… even after overriding all the 8k textures down to 2k.
Would really love to make full use of the available resources on my system to generate full fidelity Metahumans.

Had this same issue and this is how I solved it for anyone still looking for help and ending up here.
- Open Windows settings and search for “Advanced System Settings.”
- Under the Advanced tab, click Performance > Settings.
- Go to the Advanced tab and click Change… under Virtual memory.
- Uncheck “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.”
- Select your fastest SSD, choose Custom size, and set the Initial size (in MB) to at least 16384 (16 GB) and Maximum size to 32768 (32 GB) or higher. Click Set, then restart your PC.
