how to execute vacuum effect in vr?

Hi guys, I been trying to implement suction or vacuum ability in VR for a personal project similar to Slime Rancher VR’s vacuum gun. I have figured out a suction mechanic for mouse or gamepad but having trouble to use it on the VR hand. I hope I made myself clear.

ok so whats the specific issue? you say your system works with one input but doesn’t with another, what about it doesn’t work? are you getting any input from the vr hand controller? is the input part the issue or is the issue that it doesn’t move with the hand or something else?

Well the issue is when i am trying to vacuum any static mesh actor with my vr controller (hand) it doesn’t pull any actors or should I say it doesn’t suck any of those. Well i tried to replicate the vacuum/abduction mechanics of input example content where you control an UFO which pull cows and trees from the ground. I only need the pull mechanics from that example. Now after posting this question i tried to fiddle around with BP_motioncontroller where now i can see beam of some sort but still no pulling the actor. I also even tried to make similar settings for the actors as those cows and tree but with no success.

thats the post process cell shading livestream right? where is the download for the file so i can see how theyve implemented it. or maybe you can show a screenshot of what youve got thus far.

the ufo is in one of the blueprint maps in the content examples project. it’s also in the features tour 2014 project. not sure if there’s much difference between the two. i don’t think the content examples one had sound effects.
