Yeah I did have it set to Spawn, the issue was people joining in while cinematic sequences were playing. I found the disable matchmaking option in the Round Settings device though!
Join in progress also still breaks our experiences, if players join in progress during a cinematic, they get stuck in the cinematic camera, that is the main breaking issue for us.
Hi @Flak! Is this tracked or repro’d yet internally?
Specifically, the “Locking joining players in sequenced cameras” issue.
It is still a gamebreaker for us and others and I’d love to see movement on it so if it isn’t tracked or repro’d yet I will make a slim project and provide it.
And will it help to make a specific post about it?
Same for us. Having a cinematic device set to display to all players makes it so anyone who joins in progress is stuck on the cinematic. Also they are not getting assigned to trackers. It’s like what OP said, verse seems to ignore their existence for the rest of the game. This is a critical issue
@Flak Any progress on this issue? I have my Island Settings → Join In Progress set to “Spawn On Next Round” so that players joining later don’t get a stuck cinematic. Note, these spectating players are able to see the cinematic that current players are experiencing, just fine, without any animations getting stuck. The downside is that these players have to wait to join a game in progress and they tend to churn if it’s more than a minute or so.
Sucks that spawn after cinematic, and do not allow join in progress aren’t just island settings. I use a mutator zone to freeze players during cinematic, I wonder if you can use that same zone to disable/enable matchmaking through the round settings device?
